Wow, never even knew this was a thing. It appears to be nothing more than a 3rd gen Tercel 5-door DX, except better looking and with a 1.3L motor instead of the 4A.

Did some poking around, and apparently 2nd & 3rd gen Tercels were marketed as the Corolla II in certain US & Canadian markets. Maybe due to weak sales of the Tercel nameplate in those areas? The only thing I could figure out for sure is that this was limited mostly to Canada and a few areas in the US.

Considering this has smaller bumpers tucked closer to the body, my guess is it’s a Canadian immigrant.
